| Mixing Ratio | 1. Addition of 1K binder to 1K metallic basecoat is 20-50% of total volume. 2. For 1K silver white or other light color metallic basecoat.It is recommended to use no less than 35% 1K binder.When silver basecoat is used individually, 50% should be added. 3. In the three stage pearl colors, add 60-80% 1K binder into the pearl colors accordingly. 4. For colors with poor coverage, like red pearl addition of 1K binder should be around 20% otherwise it will affect the coverage of the paint. 5. 20% of 1K binder can be used to lighten the side tone while having little effect on the face of the color. Excess addition would affect the adhesion between basecoat and clear coat. |
